b. 1990, San Juan, P.R.

Claudia is an architect whose design and artistic practice explores the dynamic interplay between autochthonous flora and vernacular architectural elements, examining how these interactions can be expressed through a particular understanding of threshold spaces. Her architectural work focuses on integrating tropical climates into design, transforming sites into spaces that resonate with the environment’s unique rhythms and unveil their poetic qualities.

Claudia holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design from the University of Puerto Rico. During her undergraduate studies, she also completed Art History courses at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Since 2018, Claudia has served as an adjunct professor at the School of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico, where she teaches design courses for first- and second-year students, as well as representation seminars for first-year students. She has also taught first-year architectural design in the master’s program at the International School of Design and Architecture at UAGM. Since 2016, Claudia has collaborated with the local firm Fuster + Architects, where she has led and contributed to several residential and hospitality projects. From 2016 to 2022, Claudia co-founded and collaborated with sitiO, a local architecture and design studio.

Watercolors and paper works are her preferred media for developing designs and exploring visual arts. Recently, she has embarked on an industrial-scale design practice, integrating ceramics and digital fabrication to explore new creative possibilities.
